5G+ Industrial Internet Solutions

I. Programme background

Solutions

Industrial Internet and 5G are an important part of the fourth industrial revolution, and an important driver for the digital transformation of the economy and society. 5G represents the next generation of information and communication technology, and its integration with the Industrial Internet will drive the manufacturing industry towards digitisation, networking and intelligence.

At present, the industrial field is increasingly enthusiastic about the integration and innovation of 5G and Industrial Internet. The transformation and coverage of ‘5G+Industrial Internet’ intranet construction is becoming more and more widespread in various industries. Its application scope is constantly expanding to the core links of production and manufacturing, thus releasing the cumulative and huge potential of both multiplier effect and application potential.

However, the integration of 5G and industrial Internet is still in its infancy, and the industry foundation needs to be further strengthened. The path model needs to be further explored and the development environment needs to be further improved. Accelerating the leading application of ‘5G+Industrial Internet’ in vertical fields, fostering the innovative trend of convergence between 5G and Industrial Internet, promoting the digitalisation, networking and intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing industry, and driving the high-quality development of the economy.

The application of industrial Internet in this field puts forward multiple requirements on the key technical capabilities of the IoT industry. This research pays great attention to overcoming the bottleneck of 5G capability to support industrial applications in complex industrial scenarios with high real-time, high reliability and high precision.

II. Solution Description

Solution Introduction
The system solution consists of three main components: perception layer, network layer and platform layer.

Specifically, the perception layer includes PLCs, CNCs, industrial instruments and video capture devices connected to the network transmission device via physical links.

The network layer utilises the powerful network performance, high bandwidth and low latency of the 5G network provided by the operator to complete the collection and transmission of business data. In addition, the platform enables reverse control of field devices.

At the platform layer, we focus on processing business data by receiving and interpreting field device data. We ensure proper data storage, analysis and presentation through easy-to-read graphics that enable users to quickly assess current equipment status and related information. Our platform uses cloud computing, big data and related technologies to model, analyse and optimise data, enabling deep and comprehensive application of massive amounts of data. Our application layer provides enterprise customers with efficient and convenient software services through various plant scenarios, quality monitoring and decision support tools. In addition, we specialise in managing data processing to ensure best-in-class data management solutions. The device management platform is responsible for remote control, fault detection, setting alarms, and software upgrades for end devices. On the other hand, the Intelligent Cognition Platform provides users with technical services such as modelling tools, data mining and cognitive computing. API interfaces for transmitting device status data or direct connection to third-party platforms are available.

Communication Technology Features

5G technology has high transmission rates and high peak rates, which are suitable for transmitting large amounts of data such as high-definition video and virtual reality. In addition, spectrum efficiency is expected to increase with the use of high and medium frequency bands in 5G, resulting in significant efficiency gains. 5G offers low latency and high reliability, surpassing 4G mobile technology in terms of reliability, with the lowest possible latency down to 1 millisecond. In addition, 5G supports ubiquitous connectivity with the ability to connect millions of devices per square kilometre. 5G employs advanced technologies including optimised waveforms and multiple access based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, flexible frame design and new wireless technologies.
